Indeed. I just got through watching it and my head feels like the DVD cover looks.

It was like the drug that is "Being John Malkovich" wore off so I took another hit and got this movie. And maybe the high is more intense than the last one. I can't tell yet.

Also, in doing this film Nicholas Cage makes up for all those crappy movies he's made over the past 15 years.

Except "Face Off." That movie was profoundly wrong.

I am not sure I understand whether you are praising this movie or bashing it. Might be just me though.

I hated it, by the way. It was depressingly dark, shallow, pretentious.

Yeah, I definitely reccommend this one. And yes, it is pretentious. Most movies that delve into the surreal are called pretentious by someone. But I don't think it's fair to call it shallow.
