This blew me away. I have never cared so much for the characters on screen. I felt like I was watching a documentary, filmed at the time the events took place.

The acting in this is superb, and I can see exactly why this is the most expensive mini-series ever made.

The DVD set is excellent. Dont miss it !!!

This series and its sales figures should prove that people are willing to watch well-produced mini-series. I adored this program, and wish I could see more like it.

I am only just now getting to see this series, and whoa!

This is an amazing miniseries and a testament to the men it portrays. We should remind ourselves just how blessed we are that men like these gave their lives to ensure our welfare for generations to come.

Though I love Saving Private Ryan, this series outshines that classic film like I could never have believed.

If you haven't seen it, just buy it. Excellent story, acting, direction, picture, sound and extras. I can't think of a title more deserving a blind purchase than this.

Sean (did I mention that it's pretty good?...)

refrain from urging people to buy bootlegs because that would be advocating law-breaking. we don't condone illegal activities here at dvd town.

could someone explain how the package of this set works? how are the discs housed in the tin? and how does this go an a shelf?

the tin houses a fold-out that house all 6 of the discs. The plastic bits that hold the discs are just like other multi disc box sets (24 cases, Roger Rabbit, Schindlers list as one for its solo disc as well) It's all very well done and attractive. This set is worth the money.

so inside the tin, is a digi-pak like most tv shows? this makes sense...

Jacket,

No, it is more like an accordian. It's not a very good setup, though I love the Tin. I would have prefered a digipack setup inside the tin, this is a hassle to get to the discs on the bottom. not that the packaging matters on this most-excellent show.
