Bangkok Love Story

Was Cloud really HIV&#43? I got the impression that Cloud's step father definitely infected the mother and his son but when the step father tried to infected Cloud he beat the step father to a pulp, realized his family was getting sick from HIV&#43 and took the job as hitman to make money to care for them. I thought the movie was trying to play on the "Cloud had to be strong for his family so he could not love Stone, too" angle. I could be way off so please let me know.

I really thought this movie was amazing.

I would have to plug the movie back in to go through it again, but I *thought* one of the first flashbacks showed Cloud being molested. The second one had his brother as the victim, at which time Cloud stopped it. I'll try to get back into the movie this weekend and report back.

Okay, the first flashback (right around the 12:00 mark) shows Mom and Dad having an argument about who had the HIV first. Then we cut to Dad coming onto Cloud in his room, with Dad saying he's missed him. In what way, we don't know. My guess, knowing Dad, is that it's not a fatherly love missing, but a horny pedophile missing.
