BEOWULF on Blu-ray too (outside of North America). For Blu-ray fans, as of 2/10, two editions have been announced, one from Australia and another from the UK - for sale on Amazon's UK site. I would expect that the USA's xploitedcinema.com will also carry this title by late February/early March.

the uk blu-ray version has far fewer extras than this american hd dvd version. plus, the audio is plenty good.

A very important note. Amazon list this a Region 2 (B) Blu-ray release. It will NOT play in US Blu-ray players including the PS3.

After recently viewing the UK "Warner Bros." Blu-ray release of this film and comparing it to the HD DVD, I thought that the HD disc had a slightly sharper picture on my Toshiba XADŽ than the Blu-ray on my BDP-S500. However, the Blu-ray included a TrueHD soundtrack, which sounded bigger and more rounded than the Dolby Digital Plus track on the HD DVD.
This HD Disc rocks, though! One of the last great releases on the format!
