nice review though

i found cars to be a very entertaining film, visually brilliant (technically and in design), however it was easily the weakest of the pixar films in terms of story... some nice dialogue, great voice cast, and funny sequences dont disguise the fact that it was a straight forward, been there done that (a thousand times) unoriginal safe story, which, to be honest, i wasnt expecting from pixar, given their track record of being fresh and original... still, dont get me wrong. Great film, but coming from a definate pixar fan (you dont want to know how much i payed for the toy story 1 and 2 toybox!!), i found it to be dissapointing, but only relative to their past efforts. Heres hoping it was just a one-off slight dip, and we'll see pixar return to form in their upcoming films!!
