Cool. Have been waiting for this for a while. But, why call it the "Bueller... Bueller..." Edition. Sounds dumb... like "Holy Schike Edition" or "The Whatever Edition". Pointless.

How about the "Anyone? Anyone?" edition?

I own the first edition of this dvd and I must say that the commentary by John Hughes is incredibly boring. I'll buy if it has some worthwhile features, but not a bare "super" edition like the crappy features on the Warriors.

I can't wait. I've been holding off on buying the original version for a special edition like this one. Well, hopefully like this one. I too will be angry if it's loaded with a bunch of fluff, or uninteresting content.

Retrospective interviews would be about the best we could hope for, I think. It's a great movie, to be sure, but was created on a low budget and in a rapid fashion and I can't imagine that there are a lot of materials available to present.

I really enjoy group commentaries. I wish Mia Sara, Alan Ruck, and Matthew Broderick, be put in a room together to share their views on the film. I just hate features that have nothing to do with the movie. Perhaps studios should invest in features like Criterion does, they actually make their own, and track down people for commentaries and such.

Even though I can't remember the 1980's, I get the sense that it was pretty radical from viewing this movie.

Radical is not word I would associate with the 80s.

"Somewhat less tacky than the 70s" about sums it up.

Oooh... I don't know about less tacky. I mean, seriously, neon everything?

And this film is representative of the spirit of the 1980s, if not the actual practices.
