It hurts. This is so good. I do not understand the suits at FOX. Why? One of the grooviest scifi series ever. What a cast of characters! It's like a starwars/startrek union, with western and scifi elements thrown in. The script is unbelievable. Never thought that Buffy guy has it in him. :@ (Damn.)

I've heard so many great things about this show but never managed to see it. It suffered from poor marketing (it seemed like a Star Trek ripoff), bad timing (Sci Fi was on the decline in popularity at the time) and a horrible timeslot on Friday Nights. High production costs in a slot that doesn't yield that kind of revenue means the show is destined to fail. I do want to pick up this series before the feature-length movie "Serendipity" later this year.

Oye... and this comment has to be pulled out of the woodwork. I called Serenity "Serendipity."
I did eventually get the set and enjoyed every minute of it, and saw the movie twice theatrically.
That having been said, based on how it performed, I doubt there will be more films, but the ratings on Sci-Fi may merit another round of production. I'd love it, anyway.
And I'm looking forward to reviewing Serenity when it comes out on DVD in December!
