Does anyone else out there admit to owning this one?
Let me just say that I saw this movie and was greatly disappointed, but seeing it a few years later, my expecations lowered, I actually enjoyed it as a popcorn flick. Camp level is high, but if you're expecting it...
Not gonna say it's a masterpiece or anything, but for $5 in the bargain bin at Wal-mart, the 5.1 and decent effects warranted a purchase for me. Just one of those movies you buy soley to watch the destruction and hear the explosions.

I don't have the DVD, and I thought the movie was kinda dumb, but I thought the newfangled Godzilla was SUPER COOL....at least, much cooler than a stupid-looking rubber suit.

I really enjoy this movie. It is a great popcorn flick as mentioned above. It isn't a classic, and it isn't an important film it is strictly entertainment. As far as entertainment goes I enjoy this simple escapist entertainment, especially after growing up with the original imports from Tokyo.
