So I guess you don't agree with me that Vivien Leigh is one of the most unwatchable actresses golden age Hollywood ever produced.

Given that the movie has been seen by more people than any film in history, I'd say she was the most "watched" actress in any single picture ever made.

But, seriously, I see your point, Chris. A lot of people find her performance in "GWTW" particularly annoying. I find her a good fit for the spoiled brat she plays, but my question has always been why Rhett would have fallen so madly in love with her and why it took him so long to give a damn.

i agree with chris. vivien leigh's acting is horribly affected. if you look at the criterion dvd version of "rebecca", you can see her screen test--she was awful.

yet, this is one of my sister's favorite movies. i guess she's just sheep like the millions who keep re-buying this movie's countless home-video iterations.
