I really can't understand why this film didn't do better than it did...I found it hilarious and somewhat thoughtful. Moments were indeed stereotypical, but I thought the director used this as he did with 'The Matador', intentionally so. Generally, I found the movie consistently amusing. The various sequences of the characters getting involved in situations way above their heads cracked me up, as did the humor about clueless officials (especially the bits with the different U.N. officials). I will however say that I wasn't overly fond of the ending, though it certainly didn't spoil the fun for me. No disrespect meant to the review, just throwing a different opinion out there, in the hopes the someone who might enjoy the film won't be turned off without contest.
