Invasion of the Body Snatchers [1978]

I used to be one of those Pod persons, but now I prefer to see all my movies in widescreen. :D

For some reason, and with all this "War of the Worlds" crap going on, I was thinking of truly scary sci-fi films and this one came to mind. Happy to see John got the chance to write a nice review for it. Great movie and I recommend it, as well.

This is one of my favorite thrillers. I just saw it recently. I love the cast in this film. They're so smart, and have such great chemistry like the cast in "Alien". The director made so many great decisions in getting the tone just right for this movie. It's so eerie. I love that Sutherland is a health inspector and that Kevin has been on the run like a fugitive trying to warn the public. It makes the film seem like a continuation rather than a remake. I love Robert Duvall's creepy cameo. Can you tell I love this film? Body Snatchers with Meg Tilly was effective too, kind of underrated.
