It would be very interesting to compare this release with the Superbit version as far as picture quality improvement (if any) and if DTS clears the sound up. After viewing just the Superbit, the most notable thing that I noticed was the colors were quite vibrant, but I have not viewed this version.

There is absolutely no contention between the quality claims on this version and the Superbit; the remastered Superbit, done by the legendary Robert A. Harris, blows this version out of the water. Or desert, as it were.
I love the documentary and packaging of this version, but watch only the Superbit for the film. It looks stellar.
