Does this mean Men in Tights will also be available individually?

So far there is no indication that the films in this collection would be sold individually (if they are not already).

"Finally," certainly expresses my thoughts in a nutshell, but I ask, what took so long?
Didn't FOX think that anyone interested in Mel Brooks by now already owned one of the two DVD releases of BLAZING SADDLES and a copy of YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN that has been around and selling well for 7 years?
This is a blatant example of a company trying to re-sell the same thing over and over again to the faithful consumer. It must stop.
On a brighter note, Amazon was selling an early DVD treatment of THE TWELVE CHAIRS for $99. This 1970 Brooks classic is the dark horse of this collection. Not too many people are familiar with this as with everything else Mel has done since 1974.
I never saw ROBIN HOOD-MEN IN TIGHTS, so this will be a first for me. I heard many bad things about it when it was briefly released, but after reading fan reviews, maybe it is not as bad as I was led to believe.
Widescreen versions of TO BE OR NOT TO BE, HIGH ANXIETY, AND SILENT MOVIE are tempatations too.
As a bonus on any one of these discs, I hope they uncover the very very short movie MEL BROOKS made called THE CRITIC. Not to be compared with the animated television series of the same name, this 1960's short is barebones animation of kaleidoscopic images with Mel Brooks doing his old-man voiceover as an audience member watching an uninteligable art-film.
Funny as can be. This obscurity should have been unearthed years ago for a VHS/DVD tack-on for any of his movies.
Life could be worse, they could have included LIFE STINKS in this set. I think eventually all these movies will sell individually at budget prices. Admit it though, it is a tough buy to resist.

The Young Frankenstein transfer in this collection better be anamorphic unlike the original single DVD release. :@

Deep in my heart I knew FOX would not go the distance and include the controversial music video, THE HITLER RAP, on the TO BE OR NOT TO BE DVD. It was only controversial because MTV refused to show it. Don't forget, back in 1983 MTV did not have as much competition as it does now.
The song, THE HITLER RAP was available on the soundtrack LP (CDS were just around the corner) and as a 12inch single. It was Mel Brooks' followup rap/hip hop to IT'S GOOD TO BE THE KING, released shortly after his last popular movie, HISTORY OF THE WORLD PART l. It's pure Mel Brooks.
I copied the video off of HBO a long time ago, except they faded out the end where he is breakdancing as HITLER. If you don't remember what breakdancing is, you might as well forget it and go on to the next review.
