Re: "Beyond the normal canon of Saltzman and/or Broccoli-produced Bond films, there have been three anomalies. The first was an early, 1954, black-and-white television production of "Casino Royale," now lost, with Barry Nelson as Bond and Peter Lorre as the villain."

When was this review written? The hour-long made-for-TV "Casino Royale" from 21 October 1954 is not lost! I have a commercially-released copy of it on VHS, by Amvest Video (undated). This was but one of many installments of a series called "Climax!" a.k.a. "Climax Mystery Theater", produced by CBS-TV and sponsored by Chrysler Corporation.

Yes, thanks for the reminder, Guest. At the time I wrote the review, many years ago, the old "Climax" series installment had not surfaced in quite some time, but later MGM put it on one of the Bond special editions, and I duly made note of it in the newer review. However, I forgot to go back and amend my earlier review.
