What a fantastic review.. I have been waiting for your review since you do Tartan reviews here. I watched this movie last week and couldn't stop thinking about it even today. Heart breaking, gutsy, bold and outstanding. Bravo!

I didn't like the ending, but I thought the rest of "Oldboy" was simply fantastic, esp. the fight scene you mention shot entirely in a long master shot. Awesome, awesome stuff.

I thought the ending was the best part of Oldboy. Without the twisted ending, it would have been a traditional revenge movie with lot of style.

Yes, I loved the ending too. Not too often that a movie ending shocks me like this.

Oldboy...... as some of us know this to be the 2nd film in Revenge trilogy by South Korean filmmaker Park Chanwook..... so what about the other 2 films.....Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance ( being the 1st) & Sympathy for Lady Vengeance (the last of the trilogy).

With Chanwook's brand of film making becoming more popular at the world stage, are we gonna see the other 2 films in release on DVD?

Mr. Vengeance was just released in American theaters last month, so I would expect a DVD release to follow fairly soon.

Caught the film, and the visual feast has yet to wear off..

It has a excellent story line, a wonderful twist, excellent visuals, very fitting music and a fantastic DVD presentation from Tartan....

If you are worried abt the violence factor, there are more off screen deaths then on screen ones. Furthermore, most of the violence is more suggestive then Gore...
