Little late posting on this, but I just participated in the Red to Blue program and just received my Blu-ray version of Planet Earth and noticed the specs on the box say 1080i. My HD DVD version says 1080p and I notice all of the reviews say it's 1080p. Anyone else notice this?

I just looked at the back cover of "Planet Earth" in Blu-ray, and it says "High Definition 1080p": http://www.dvdempire.com/Exec/v4_item.asp?item_id=1290245&tab=5&back=1&anchor=1#topoftabs

Interesting, sounds like they've changed their packaging. Mine clearly says 1080i on it. I had to wait two months to receive my upgrade (due to backorder), I wonder if what I was really waiting for was for them to change their packaging.

I wonder if the comment on the back that says....."Due to the difficulty in the filming in some habitats, a small percentage of the footage has not been filmed in full HD." required them to make that change. Everything else on the package matches your link.

I just received a DVD package from a major studio with a sticker on it correcting the language details. Studios sometimes make mistakes on their keep cases (as we have all found out).
