I watched this last night for the first time, on Turner Classic Movies. Really touching. Despite the improbable plot, the movie grips. At times as I kept hoping Charles Ranier would remember Paula I grew frustrated with impatience. And then when they finally do reclaim their original love I just wanted the movie to go on and on, albeit anticlimactically. Both Garson and Colman are great here. As they say, they don't make 'em like this anymore. This morning I had to spend a couple hours researching this movie and Garson generally on the web. Thanks for the fine review.
