The problem might be where to find a positive review. Maybe we could offer a reward.

I liked it. I thought it was a great popcorn movie. I mean, I know it isn't an Oscar Winner, but it was fun to watch.

there it is i think you reviewers eddie and john do not realize a movie does not have to be citizen kane all the time sometimes a movie is an excuse to eat popcorn and waste some idle time. of course i mean no disrespect i thoroughly enjoy eddy and johns reviews

Well, even popcorn movies can be done well. Think "Batman", "Terminator 2", "Jurassic Park", etc...

"sometimes a movie is an excuse to eat popcorn and waste some idle time." --sonofjohnv6

Good point. Everyone likes to relax and enjoy some dumb fun once in a while, including Eddie and me. (OK, maybe just me.) But as Eddie points out, think of all the really terrific action, adventure, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, or comedy movies that a person probably has never seen before. Isn't it better to kill time with a good popcorn movie than a bad one?

But what do I know. I've never seen "Resident Evil: Apocalypse." For all I know, it may BE another "Citizen Kane."

Most of the people who saw this movie and thought it was great have probably never heard of "Citizen Kane" and are probably hypnotized by playing video games, making them look forward to a "Resident Evil 3".

I totally agree with the last post. I enjoyed watching the movie, but the first was better.

"Most of the people who saw this movie and thought it was great have probably never heard of "Citizen Kane" and are probably hypnotized by playing video games, making them look forward to a 'Resident Evil 3'."

Well since the "Resident Evil" movies are based upon the Capcom video game series of the same name, if one played video games (much less were hypnotized by them) they'd probably think that this movie was bad. It seems like it's some sort of a filmmaking scientific law (talk about an oxymoron ;) ) that all movies based on video game properties need to: a) be bad, and b) other than characters, have little to do with the source material (or source code, I guess? Heh! I kill me ).

However, I have heard that the "Resident Evil" movies, while being mediocre, are decent when compared to other movies based on games. Which isn't saying much.

Sienna Guillory looks so scorching in this good movie.
And, you're right, eddie. i prefer her brunette hair color too. It's the tube top, and mini-skirt that adds to the sexy look. Plus, her skin is almost flawless looking.

viter,

I've never played any of the videogames, but does Guillory really look like Jill Valentine?

never played it either. i remember one of the featurettes does this side by side comparison with the video game footage and movie footage to show how similar Sienna is to the game character.

Ok, I found a picture of the Jill character in the game

viter,

yeah, i remember watching the featurettes doing the side-by-side comparisons between the movie and the games.

i guess they were successful at making guillory look like the game character, though the videogame valentine is not as hot as aki ross.
