Looking forward to this one. Of the Next Generation films, this is definitely the best. Thought someone had said there was likely to be a DTS track on this one, though.

Best Next Generation movie, by far. It is one of my favorite Trek movies. I will not be buying the Next Generation box set of all the movies because the last movie was crap.

Well, all the next generation movies are crap, so why bother buying any of them? :p

Eddie, you're the only one hoping for a Voyager movie, so your opinion on the subject really isn't valid. ;)

They need Deep Space Nine movies but they killed that prospect in how they ended the series.

Paramount makes me very proud. being the first paramount releases sucked.
But these special edtions are cool. This is the third best in the Next Generations movies. What really makes me mad is how nobody liked nemesis when it was what Star Trek movies should be. But anywas this was a good movie and The Borg make any Trek movie good.

Neo05,
Both Tim and I liked "Nemesis" a lot. In fact, it is my favorite of all the "Star Trek" theatrical movies. Check out my review. :)

Come on people Nemesis was an excuse to kill off Data in the most anti-climactic way and replacing him with a retarded replacement. BAD MOVE Data is one of the better characters in Trek. The best thing that the movie did was the sequence distroying the Romulan Senate and thats the only redeeming thing in it. First Contact has more emotional value in the first 3 minutes than Nemesis has in the entire film. But to each his own I guess.

It really is to each his own. When I saw "First Contact", I could not believe how over-rated it was. It's not bad, but it's only marginally better than "Generations". "Nemesis" was tough, aggressive, smart, and felt like a movie. "First Contact", like "Generations" and "Insurrection", felt like a distended TV episode.

Wrath of Kahn is the best and everyone knows it, but First Contact is a very close second. In fact all the trek films with the exception of The Motion Picture and The Final Frontier, were excelent films.

All I could think while watching First Contact was "Borg Queen?" Huh? How can the Borg have a queen? They're friggin' androids. Borg Queen?
And how lame did the Borg become? It's like all you have to do is leave the room and come back in and they've alreayd forgotten that you can be a danger to them, so you get to shoot a bunch of them before they adapt. Don't they communicate? "OK, the humans attacked us the last eight thousand times we fought, but we can't tell that THESE humans are dangerous so we'll just walk around like jackasses and get picked off for a while."

The Borg are not Androids, they are Cyborgs. Sorry just had to say something.
Along with Wrath of Khan, I always felt that Undiscovered Country was excellent and served as a final farewell for the original cast far better then what Nemisis was. In fareness, while Undiscovered Country was planned as a last movie trek for the Original Cast, Paramount decided to make Nemisis the final TNG outing only after postproduction. Only time will tell how the voyage will end.

It will end soon. The problem is, they ended all the trek shows with all the crews going their seperate ways, its kinda hard to bring them back together. I mean did you notice how Worf kept poping up in the TNG films with almost no explination. Enterprise though has become amazing in the last two seasons it could make a good movie.

If they had any guts, they'd end a series the way Blake's 7 did, by having the entire crew get slaughtered.

Yes Nemeis was a good one but generations had a very interesting story even though kirk could have had a way better death. Nemesis i say is a favorite of mine to watch every once in a while look at my collection. i saw nemesis in theaters and since first contact me and my dad were on the edge of our seats. posters5 i dont think nemesis is the best in the series only 2 and 6 are the best but nemesis can come close alittle

It's funny how we always end up discussing Nemesis on these comment pages. As far as First Contact goes, it's my second favorite of the Next Generation movies. I really like the new uniforms (or the DS9 uniforms to those who are familiar with them) and the Enterprise E is my second favorite after the A. Sure it's not a perfect movie, and of course it's got problems fitting into the Trek universe, but that's the way of the Berman era I suppose. But overall it's a fun outing with a crew that's grown on me in the last decade.(even if their first outing killed off the best Star Trek character there ever was in a completely anti-climactic way)
