I was very dissapointed about Nemesis. I have been a big Star Trek fan for many years. First Contact was by far the best movie of them all, and the last two has been very dissapointing. Nemesis did not feel like a real Star Trek movie to me. And it felt like it was written by people who did not no their Star Trek history.

Per, while I agree that "Nemesis" did not really refer to the history of "Star Trek", I felt that the filmmakers were trying to take the franchise in a new direction (peace with the Romulans). Unfortunately, given the lukewarm reception that greeted the film in theatres, Paramount may not want to spend money on developing the Federation-Romulan angle--a great loss.

Any hints as to when this gets the Collector's Edition treatment? I'm waiting to buy TNG ones in a box set like the original crew one but I'm getting antsy!

Could a fan please tell me why they thought this was one of the best of the Star Trek films (if you are such a fan)? I personally thought it was boring, bland and virtually devoid of excitement. On the other hand I loved First Contact and wish that each subsequent Star Trek could have improved in that sorta way. I liked how they started to lean towards a dark, gothic edge in this film, but in the end it just was not epic enough. Alien it is not (but was it trying to be? I think so, a variation at least. Fine: "Bram Stoker's Star Trek: Nemesis"?).

I also really didn't like Nemesis. It seemed that Logan and Baird had no idea of what they were doing and ended up making what in my mind is the worst episode of Star Trek (films or TV) ever! and they went against everything that Roddenberry stood for, they made a loud, mindless, storyless, offensive entry into the Trek series. At least the original crew went out with what I think is one of the best episodes ever (The Undiscovered Country), TNG went out on the worst episode ever (Nemesis)
