looks very good! too bad it isn't a case with a new high-quality DVD edition of `Toy Story 2` [which i think is better then the first one!].

I have ALL Pixar Films.
I collected these and others like Beauty and the Beast and Snow White when I DIDN'T even have a DVD player.

I like the silver cover. But, I'm not going to complain about the cover, since this is one title that I've been wanting to add to my collection and I'm glad Disney's finally releasing it in the two disc set it deserves. Also, I can't wait for Toy Story 2 to be released in a 2 Disc Special Edition, currently scheduled for December 26!

John,
Great review! I have the single disc edition of the movie. I was wondering how this version compares in A/V department to the previous single disc edition?

I haven't watched the single-disc edition, but I can only assume that it looks like the "Ultimate Toy Box" edition, which I have. The new 10th Anniversary Edition uses a higher bit rate than ever before, so the new one is the best-looking edition of the movie yet. I think you'll notice a difference, but if you're wary, you might want to rent this new edition first to be sure.

Does anybody know what we'll be missing in this 10th anniversary edition in comparason to the ultimate edition? will this edition include the short Tin-Toy?

I don't see "Tin Toy" on either disc anywhere, but there's so much stuff I may just be overlooking it. I suspect we'll have to wait for the next edition of "Toy Story 2" for "Tin Toy," if it's included at all.

Darn you Disney! Darn youuuuu! If the picture is that much better, I'm now going to have to replace my "Toy Story & Toy Story 2" Combo.

Never bought these. Guess I'm the only one. I'm sure I'll be pissed for the 15th anniversary quintuple-dip!

Man, this thing just pops off the screen.
I also love the way the rocket scene towards the end rips through the sound system.

One quick question as to make comparasons... anybody from a non Region 1 got this 10th Anniversary Edition release? i wonder if there're any differences from the Region 1 release to other such as Region 2 or 4 releases...
