The first movie gets a negative 2 from me, and this one gets a negative 5.

What's really appalling is that one of the featurettes actually has Bay talking for about 5 minutes about how stupid critics are. Actually, Mike, the people who like your movies are the stupids. .!.. ..!.

A review of the reviews:
There is a lot of hubris and lemming like mentality in these reviews. I read the same crap when the movie came out in theaters and I am forced to read them again. I don't know; if this movie was released ten years earlier it might not have been panned by so many reviewers. hell, it might be considered one of the best movies ever made. The problem is that movie reviewers these days are very demanding in what constitutes a good movie - "it must fit within these parameters or else I think it sucks." type of mentality. Sad that people just can't enjoy a mindless 3 hour long destruction / offensive fest movie without their biases and preconceived notions on what the movie "should" be getting in the way. Perhaps some people just hate Michael Bay and love to crap on anything he produces.
I think the majority of reviewers are just plain lemmings...one person says an opinion and the rest follow on the idea. Pretty lame review guys---pretty lame. I give your overall reviews a 4 for being so "better than this".
Go back to loving Twilight please...

You know, Tacoloft, you might have a point. People definitely do like to follow others and be a part of the crowd. In the case of "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" the lemming reviewers mostly hated it and the lemming moviegoers mostly went to see it, anyway.

I suppose for the person who has never seen the film before and is looking for an opinion about it, the question is who to believe: the critics or the moviegoers. Whom do you trust? If, as you seem to believe, one cannot trust reviewers, then I suppose you should judge a film by its box-office grosses, in which case this second "Transformers" must be among the best films ever made.

You make your choices and take your chances.

Never saw "Twilight." Don't plan to.

Tacoloft, I don't think Trans 2 would ever be considered one of the greatest movies ever made in any era. A bad movie is a bad movie.

John, I honestly can't recall anything about this movie except I kept thinking how transformed Megan Fox' face was from so much filler and Botox.

critics usually see movies before any reviews are published. therefore, it's impossible for them to copy each other (unless they can read each other's minds or discuss movies during pillow talk).
