Looking good.
But with the space afforded by a 2-disc edition, WHY is there no Dolby TrueHD soundtrack???

Hopefully Paramount will do the Dolby Digital Plus track in 1.5 Mbps, as Universal do, rather than the usual 640kbps.

Yes, I agree. Only thing missing is the HD audio option.

Electric_Haggis, how do you tell what the bitrate of a audio stream is?

It's definitely the 1.5 MBS sound. It's absolutely astonishing. Highs, mids to low bass is as rich and full as any movie I have ever heard on my system, which easily embarrasses what the reviewers use to review this film. I can't see the TrueHD sounding any better. They give it a 10, that's right on. Video I don't agree with, this film is a solid 9 to 9.5. The only reason not a 10, some scenes (when charactors talk to Bumble Bee for the 1st time in the dark) have some noticible artifacting and softness. But it's only one or two quick scenes, other than that almost perfect. Only Mi3 and King Kong look better.

To the older reviewer (old fart), maybe you shouldn't review these kind of films, they might interfere with your pacemaker. You should stay home and watch the Golden Girls or Little House.

This is a must have!!! MUST have. In fact after much thought, I wouldn't trade this one film for all the blu-ray releases. It would be like trading a supermodel for 5 cranky not-so pretty women.
Not that the blu-ray releases are bad, but this movie is such a monumental film, that it makes all the blu-ray releases pale in comparison. Is it Ghandi or Citizen Kane, no.... it's Transformers and deserves respect for what it is.
