I caught this on HDNet Movies, and have to agree that it is a genial, thoroughly enjoyable movie. A film that handles sentimentalism without the syrup and still manages to be good while not being objectionable in most any way.
Great performance by Hopkins, good, realistic direction, and a good supporting cast come together to make a very fine but unfortunately woefully unknown film.
sean (...though that woe is nothing compared to the woe of some other woes...)
