Why has no one reviewed this movie yet? Its not a bad movie! It has many problems, especially for those who may not be well versed in the last few seasons of the X-files. I found myself questioning Mulder and Scully’s relationship it took me a few minutes to realize that they live together. The movie never really achieves much tension, but upon a second viewing I have discovered that it offers something a little more rare. It does not force feed morals on its viewer, but it is about just that. The X-Files: I want to believe is about the value of life, stem cells, hopelessness and faith. I would like to encourage a discussion because I found myself perplexed that this type of concept would make it to the big screen, and in the guise of an X-file film. That being said, I did not LOVE this movie. It has some real stupid moments. The two most notorious being the ending wave to the camera, and the George Bush cameo. I do compliment this movie for not trying to be big, for sticking to the television shows roots, for not catering to the frenetic editing and computer graphics that dominate modern cinema of this genre.
