Synopsis:

When a ravaging plague strikes Earth, it threatens no less than global extinction. This alien disease, called the "Purple Death" by Earth's scientists, is believed to be the evil spawn of Ming, the Emperor of Mongo, and the most merciless villian that ever struck fear into the heart of man. Earth's leaders are convinced that this is another of Ming's vile attempts at interplanetary conquest.

The World's only hope seems to rest with Flash Gordon, the planet-hopping hero, who blasts off in his rocket ship to search and destroy the source of the death dust rays. With the aid of his beautiful companion Dale Arden (Carol Hughes) and the scientific genius Dr. Zarkov (Frank Shannon), Flash battles countless enemies, like the "Walking Bombs", Ming's mechanical henchmen, and survives a dozen nerve-rattling cliffhangers on his planetary quest to defeat the villainous Ming.

This is the third and final part in the Flash Gordon serial trilogy, and like its two predecessors, is based on the comic strips created by Alex Raymond. It is considered by many serial buffs to be the best and most polished of the three, and is surely one of the most thrilling and memorable serials ever produced.
