Synopsis

Eminently versatile, two-time Oscar winner JACK LEMMON (Save the Tiger [Best Actor], 1973; Mr. Roberts [Best Supporting Actor], 1955) was an actor's actor - the sort who made it look easy as he lit up the screen in everything from powerful dramas to irresistible comedies. Now for the first time on DVD are five of his best-loved Columbia comedy classics, along with a must-see bonus disc hosted by Jack's son and biographer, Chris Lemmon. This disc features intimate interviews with friends and colleagues plus never-before-seen personal photos.

Included in this exclusive collection are
Phffft!, featuring Kim Novak with a script by George Axelrod (Breakfast at Tiffany's); Operation Mad Ball and The Notorious Landlady featuring Fred Astaire, both co-written by Blake Edwards (The Pink Panther); and, from writer/ director David Swift (Pollyanna), Under the Yum Yum Tree and Good Neighbor Sam. It's pure comic gold - with a twist of Lemmon!

Phffft (1954)
(91 minutes - not rated)
When their marriage finally goes "Phffft." Nina and Robert get divorced - only to discover that, like it or not, some people are just meant to be together!

Operation Mad Ball (1957)
(105 minutes - not rated)
In this wacky military spoof, Lemmon plays a terminally board Army private waging a war of wits as he tries to throw a party under the nose of his obnoxious commanding officer.

The Notorious Landlady (1962)
(123 minutes - not rated)
It's an engaging mix of larceny and laughs when an American diplomat and his alluring London landlady stumble into a caper filled with stolen jewels, murder and comedy mayhem!

Under The Yum Yum Tree (1963)
(110 minutes - not rated)
This sparkling comedy features Jack playing a wolf in landlord's clothing, who's about to find he's bitten off more than he can woo!

Good Neighbor Sam (1964)
(130 minutes - not rated)
In this delightfully daffy comedy romp, Jack plays a very married ad man who poses as the husband of a sexy single girl to help her land a big inheritance.
