Sales figures for Blu-ray discs rose 15 percent in 2007 while DVD sales dropped off, leaving the folks who draw curves on graphs to predict that Blu-ray sales will surpass DVDs in the year 2012. The numbers in this recently released Adams Media Research, Inc. study are based on data that includes both video sales and rentals.
Personally, I think it's going to take longer. Then again, all I'm doing is putting a Blu-ray box to my head and closing my eyes and guessing.
