Stacy Marie Fuson grew up in Tacoma, Washington, a city just to the south of Seattle. She scored the cover of "Playboy" magazine´s October 1997 issue, and her popularity with readers led to her being named Playboy´s Miss February 1999. Since her appearance in "Playboy", Miss Fuson has appeared in a variety of ads, catalogs, and other publications. She has also quietly moved into acting.

Recently, I had the pleasure of chatting with Miss Fuson about her current job as a spokesperson for St. Pauli Girl Beer. Despite her career as a successful model and up-and-coming actress, she sounds like a sweet young lady with the same kinds of hopeful dreams that many ingénues might have. Miss Fuson didn´t seem jaded in any way.

Eddie Feng: Good afternoon, Miss Fuson. How are you today?
Stacy Fuson: Good! Thank you!

Eddie Feng: I used to live in the Seattle area, too. How often do you get to go back to Tacoma? Do you miss your hometown?
Stacy Fuson: I go back every other month. I do miss it--but not rain!

Eddie Feng: What do you miss most about the Pacific Northwest?
Stacy Fuson: The clean air and the fact that it´s very beautiful up there.

Eddie Feng: Did you participate in any school productions when you were in middle school and high school?
Stacy Fuson: Not really...I played volleyball for a year and baseball for seven years.

Eddie Feng: When did you first start modeling?
Stacy Fuson: Professionally at 14, but I did some modeling when I was little.

Eddie Feng: Did you audition for acting jobs almost as soon as you began modeling?
Stacy Fuson: Maybe about a year later.

Eddie Feng: You were "Playboy" magazine´s February 1999 Playmate. How quickly did that gig lead to other modeling or acting offers?
Stacy Fuson: I started doing a lot of other things right away.

Eddie Feng: You shot a TV pilot called "The Sullivan Sisters". You played the main character. Would you say that Shelby is the most substantial and rewarding part that you´ve had so far?
Stacy Fuson: Yes, for sure!

Eddie Feng: What did you learn from making "The Sullivan Sisters"?
Stacy Fuson: That acting is not easy. (laughs)

Eddie Feng: Did you feel any pressure about having to carry a show?
Stacy Fuson: Yes, being the lead was a lot of pressure. I tried my hardest to do the best I could.

Eddie Feng: PAX (a cable station based in Canada) showed the pilot several times, sometimes more than once a week. Why didn´t the channel pick up the series?
Stacy Fuson: I´m not sure why. I was very disappointed because I loved everyone I was working with.

Eddie Feng: Would you have liked appearing in a regular TV role, or do you prefer making features?
Stacy Fuson: Regular TV role, I think, but either one would be great.

Eddie Feng: You appeared on a reality TV show called "Dog Eat Dog". They made you play a game answering questions to avoid being dropped in a pool of freezing water. Do you think that they were especially hard on you since you were a Playmate?
Stacy Fuson: I think out of the whole show I got the worst challenge. All the other Playmates didn´t have any difficult trivia.

Eddie Feng: You´re the new St. Pauli Girl Beer spokesperson. How did you land the job? Did you have to audition, or did the company simply call you up with an offer?
Stacy Fuson: I went through four castings to get the job. There were hundreds of other girls, and I still can´t believe that they picked me!!!

Eddie Feng: Former St. Pauli Girl Beer spokesperson and Playmate Lisa Dergan, who´s probably a good friend of yours, has appeared on several TV programs as a sports commentator and guest host. This bodes well for your career.
Stacy Fuson: I hope so!!!

Eddie Feng: How has your work with St. Pauli Girl affected your professional life?
Stacy Fuson: This is my first time representing a beer company, and I love it! I think I will learn a lot, and hopefully, it will lead to other things.

Eddie Feng: What kinds of roles do you hope to get as an actress?
Stacy Fuson: I´m not really into comedy; I prefer dramatic roles.

Eddie Feng: For fun, what kind of movies do you like to watch?
Stacy Fuson: Everything, really!

Eddie Feng: What else do you do for recreation?
Stacy Fuson: I workout, and I like going out to dinner. I love the beach, too.

Eddie Feng: You have your own website, stacyfuson.com. Tell me a bit about it.
Stacy Fuson: I got a lot of fan requests about doing a web site so they could follow my career. It´s really dedicated to them.

Eddie Feng: Do you plan on interacting closely with your fans with live chats, answering e-mails, stuff like that?
Stacy Fuson: Yes, we are working on doing live chats and other things.

Eddie Feng: What´s next for you? More modeling and acting?
Stacy Fuson: I just did a small part on HBO´s "Entourage", and I have a supporting role in a movie called "Room 6" starring Jerry O´Connell and Christine Taylor. I´m very excited about it!

Eddie Feng: Well, that´s it for today. Thank you very much for your time, and good luck!
Stacy Fuson: Thank you!!!
