THE WAR ON TERROR WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHED... the Scandal was a Cover-up.
Culver City, CA (Aug 4, 2008) -- Academy Award® winning director Errol Morris (2004 Best Documentary Feature: The Fog of War, also The Thin Blue Line) documents the real story behind the shocking Abu Ghraib prison photos in his latest documentary, Standard Operating Procedure.
This Sony Pictures Classics film, which won the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival (and was an official selection of the Tribeca Film Festival), will be released October 14, 2008, on DVD and Blu-ray™ High-Def. Standard Operating Procedure will be available at a SRP of $38.96 for Blu-ray, and $28.96 for DVD.

In addition are special features exclusive to Blu-ray, including nearly two hours worth of new interview footage, the Berlin panel discussion and press conference, and the Los Angeles Premiere Q&A session.
Director Errol Morris describes Standard Operating Procedure as an investigation to discover what actually happened "outside the frame" of the infamous Abu Ghraib photographs. To that end, Errol Morris compiled over a million-and-a-half words of transcript, over thirty interviews, tens of thousands of pages of documents, and over a thousand photographs.
