Recent discounts on profile 1.0 Blu-ray players from both Sony and Samsung may finally see a decrease in price on Blu-ray set-top players.

So, in an effort to clear stock before newer Profile 1.1 and 2.0 players arrive over the summer and this fall the new prices for the Samsung BD-P1400 and Sony BDP-S300 now seems to be $399.99.

Whoopty-friggin' do. You can find both of those models in just about any of your local retail stores at this price and it has been that way for the last few months. All it shows is that amazon has finally quit outsourcing to price-gouging sources for these players.

You mean I can pay $400 for a player that only plays SOME of the titles that were release a year ago and probably not any of the titles released recently and probably not any of the future releases? Hellz yeah!!!
