Like all their other BOGO sales, some titles will not work in that when you pair up two, none are free. I tried Dune and Breach and both were full price at checkout.

It doesn't matter what titles you choose. You will see the discount only after you enter the credit card info.

However I did notice they increased the price of some titles a few hours after the sale began.

For example: Knocked Up (Combo HD DVD/Standard) was $19.99 when I discovered the bogo sale it's now $27.95.

So I got "Knocked Up" and "Serenity" for $19.99 w free shipping.

I got Dune, Serenity, Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas, and The Big Lebowski.

I'm kind of counting FLLV and Lebowski as my free ones since I already own them

EDIT: Yeah they discount the cheapest ones after you fill in your credit card info.

Why rebuy the movies you already have? Is it worth upgrading yet when most of the features are NOT on HD?

I got Dune, Deer Hunter, Casino and Big Lebowski for $40. Nice.

Also, my credit card info is automatically filled in at checkout and Dune was NOT free when paired with Breach. All Amazon Bogo sales always have a few movies that just won't discount or won't discount when paired with a movie of a different price.

The last BOGO sale they had I tried to buy both John Wayne movies (Rio Bravo and The Searchers) and they wouldn't discount. They wouldn't even discount with any other BOGO HD DVDs.

Because they were the cheaper or as much as the other two I bought.

Basically The only movies on the list I really wanted were those four anyway.

Also I really don't care if the features are in HD... It's the Meat and Potatoes I care about... the Film itself.

GridloQ,
If both movies are on the BOGO list I would purchase them (if you really want them), then email Amazon explaining the error on their part. They are pretty good about replying the same day. They don't charge your card until they ship anyway.

Visit their contact page select your order/items, select the email tab and then choose 'Refund Inquiry' from the dropdown list. You just tell them one of the "buy one get one" movies did not discount.

Hey AMAZON.CA, why can't you offer the same kind of deals?

Hood, I feel your pain. Even with the state of the Canadian dollar it's still cheaper to order on amazon.com and pay for the shipping. Hopefully amazon.ca will realize the sales they are missing out on and smarten up.
