Sony Pictures just announced that the 1960s coming-of-age story "An Education" will be available on Blu-ray and DVD on March 30. Here's a clip, and below is the release:

CULVER CITY, CALIF. (February 8, 2010) – "An Education"--which has garnered three Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Best Actress (Carey Mulligan) and Best Adapted Screenplay, one Golden Globe nomination for Carey Mulligan, Best Actress and eight British Academy (BAFTA) Award nominations--arrives on Blu-ray and DVD March 30 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

Carey Mulligan ("Public Enemies") stars in the Sony Pictures Classics´ coming-of-age drama written by Nick Hornby ("High Fidelity," "About a Boy") from Lynn Barber´s autobiographical memoir and directed by Lone Scherfig ("Hjemve," "Wilbur Wants to Kill Himeself"). "An Education" also stars Peter Sarsgaard ("Orphan," "Jarhead"), Alfred Molina ("The Da Vinci Code"), two-time Oscar-winner Emma Thompson ("Sense and Sensibility," "Howard´s End"), Dominic Cooper ("Mamma Mia," "The Duchess") and Rosamund Pike ("Pride & Prejudice," "Surrogates").

"An Education"´s BAFTA nominations include: Best Film; Best Director; Best Leading Actress, Best Supporting Actor (Molina), Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hair and Best Orange Rising Star Award. Adding to the list of accolades for Ms. Mulligan are a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress, Best Actress wins from the National Board of Review and a number of Critics´ Associations which also voted the film in its top 10 lists. Additionally, the Screen Actors Guild nominated "An Education" for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture and Best Actress for Ms. Mulligan. The Sony Pictures Classics film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the 2009 Audience Award and Cinematography Award. It also received a nomination for the Grand Jury Prize.

Synopsis:
When Jenny (Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee Carey Mulligan), a bright young school girl who longs for adulthood, meets David (Peter Sarsgaard), a dashing older man, he introduces her to his vibrant world of glamorous friends, chic jazz clubs and her own sexual awakening. Will she let this affair ruin her dreams of attending Oxford, as her headmistress (Emma Thompson) fears? This captivating film sparkles with wit, charm and style of 1960s Britain.

"An Education" will be available for $28.96 SRP for the DVD and $38.96 for the Blu-ray. "An Education" has a run time of approximately 100 minutes and is rated PG-13 for mature thematic material involving sexual content, and for smoking.
