Los Angeles, Friday, May 16. Today Abigail Breslin ("Little Miss Sunshine") will visit American Girl Place Los Angeles to announce a special 10-day exclusive theatrical engagement of the newest film in the popular American Girl series. The film will be shown in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta.

The latest entry is "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl," which stars Breslin as a resourceful young girl living during the time of the Great Depression. It's written by Ann Peacock ("The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe") and directed by Patricia Rozema ("Mansfield Park"). It also stars Joan Cusack, Glenne Headly, Jane Krakowski, Chris O'Donnell, Julia Ormond, Wallace Shawn, and Stanley Tucci. In the film, Kit's bravery and determination help her family solve a mystery that will save their home.

With the purchase of each premium ($20) ticket, the patron will receive a limited edition t-shirt. Those who buy tickets using their American Express Cards will also get a full-color collector's edition program.
