Fox Home Entertainment has announced a February 24, 2009 release date for the Blu-ray hi-def edition of the famous 1971 car-chase thriller "Vanishing Point", starring Barry Newman and a cool 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T automobile. Both the original 98-minute theatrical version and the longer 105-minute U.K. version will be included (same as on the prior DVD release). Suggested Retail Price - $34.98.

Film Synopsis:

An ex-racecar driver gets high on Benzedrine and leads the police on a hectic chase in a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T.

Barry Newman stars as Kowalski, the last American hero, who sets out to prove that he can drive from Denver to San Francisco in just fifteen hours.
