Sony will release the first eight Blu-ray titles this May 23rd.
It looks like Blu-ray will avoid the release of players without movies as HD-DVD may be facing. With under two weeks to the release of HD-DVD only one title has been confirmed to be released on March 28th along with players. Owning both the format as well as the movies as Sony does with Blu-ray makes a difference it seems.
At this time no details on extras or if they will be in 720p, 1080i or 1080p HD video have been revealed. What we have is the cover art and a suggested retail price of $28.95 per Blu-ray title.
We will of course bring more when we have it.
