–Pete Hammond, Box Office
"Wilson and Aniston demonstrate why they are gifted comic actors. They have a relationship that's not too sitcomish, not too sentimental, mostly smart and realistic."

MARLEY & ME on DVD & Blu-ray »
Century City, CA. – From the director of The Devil Wears Prada and based on the New York Times best-selling novel from John Grogan, MARLEY & ME leaps onto three-disc Blu-ray, two-disc Special Edition and Single Disc DVD March 31 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
Owen Wilson (Night at the Museum) and Jennifer Aniston (The Break-Up) star in a hilarious "tail" about a family who learns important life lessons from their adorable, but naughty and neurotic dog. When newlyweds John and Jenny Grogan (Wilson and Aniston) leave the snow of Michigan for the beaches of Miami, they decide to adopt a yellow Labrador retriever named Marley, in order to give them a taste of parenthood. However, things get ruff when the adorable 12-pound puppy transforms into a highly-strung, boisterous and uncontrollable 100-pound steamroller of unbridled energy that always finds trouble. From flunking obedience school, chewing off dry wall, taking a bite out of the sofa, stealing a Thanksgiving turkey and chasing the UPS guy, Marley causes absolute chaos. Despite the mayhem he generates over the years, Marley sees the Grogans through the ups and downs of life and the countless challenges that come with it. The family soon discovers that Marley, "the world´s worst dog," somehow brings out the best in them.
The delightful comedy adventure features an ensemble supporting cast including Eric Dane ("Grey's Anatomy"), Golden Globe®-winner Kathleen Turner (Best Actress, Prizzi's Honor) and Oscar®-winner Alan Arkin (Best Supporting Actor, Little Miss Sunshine).

EXCERPT: The photograph on the cover of "Marley and Me" shows a cute little puppy. Unfortunately, the David Frankel directed film doesn't spend a lot of time with Marley as a puppy and the film quickly matures with the rapidly growing dog and instead of being cute as represented by the box art, "Marley and Me" becomes a harsh lesson on life. It is about children, drastic life changes, death and remorse. There is a little cuteness contained within the film, but "Marley and Me" is hardly the feel-good hit of 2008. After watching the film I found myself remembering pets, family and friends that I had lost and wondering what the hell I have accomplished so far in my life with the age of forty less than a handful of years away. I hate it when a film plays with my emotions.
I wanted to be entertained. I didn't want my feelings to be toyed with by a film that cared more towards forcing me into feeling a certain way than it did entertaining me. I imagine that John Grogan's book is a phenomenal read and I will admit that the story is moving, but I am going to hold my grudge against the marketing campaign of this film for quite a while.

Film Synopsis:
This Christmas, HEEL THE LOVE.
A New York Times bestseller, MARLEY & ME is a memoir of Philadelphia Inquirer columnist John Grogan's life with his yellow Labrador retriever. The heartwarming and unforgettable story of a family in the making and the wondrously neurotic dog who taught them what really matters in life.
Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson unleash huge laughs as John and Jenny Grogan, a young couple contemplating the decision to have a baby. Then came Marley... an adorable Labrador pup who flunks obedience school and quickly turns his new home into a disaster area. But as mischievous Marley sees the Grogans through the ups and downs of life and love, they ultimately realize that "the worlds worst dog" truly brings out the best in them - Marley & Me is a satisfying treat for the whole family!
The filmmakers behind The Devil Wears Prada take on another bestseller in the family film MARLEY & ME. Based on the hit memoir by John Grogan, Marley & Me chronicles the relationship of John (Owen Wilson) and Jen (Jennifer Aniston) as they face the challenges of marriage and work to start a family. By their side is their beloved dog, Marley, who can chew through drywall, got kicked out of obedience school, and never met a leg he didn't like. The cute pup's antics come to signify the unexpected challenges that everyone faces in adulthood, and the film is ultimately a paean to unconditional love; others may see Marley as the "world's worst dog," but throughout it all, he proves to be the couple's most faithful friend.
MARLEY & ME plays like a modern day Norman Rockwell portrait with a little more bite, courtesy of the snark-friendly screenwriters and the title's wild mutt. The sets are sumptuous, with every shot lovingly lit to look like a Hallmark card. The winning lead performances help elevate the picture above its feel-good counterparts; Aniston is radiant and Wilson shows off sharp dramatic chops, giving some maturity to his loveable comedic persona. Alan Arkin gives a scene-stealing performance as Wilson's boss, and Kathleen Turner proves to be a great sport with her physically demanding cameo as Marley's obedience instructor. But in the end the picture belongs to the dogs, and for once that's a good thing. A film that keeps the audience cooing, cracking up, and crying, MARLEY & ME is sure to become a family favorite.
