Anchor Bay Entertainment is releasing "Law Abiding Citizen" on DVD and Blu-ray on February 16. When one of his family's two killers walks, a "Law Abiding Citizen" decides to take matters into his own hands. But he doesn't just buff up and cowboy down to get the job done. He's got a plan, and it's so involved that even when he's jailed he still gets his revenge.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. –Academy Award-winner Jamie Foxx ("Ray," "The Kingdom") and Gerard Butler ("The Ugly Truth," "300") star in Overture Films´ riveting psychological thriller, "Law Abiding Citizen," available on DVD and Blu-ray Tuesday, February 16th from Anchor Bay Entertainment. Directed by F. Gary Gray ("The Italian Job," "Be Cool") from a screenplay by Kurt Wimmer ("Street Kings"), Law Abiding Citizen follows Clyde Shelton (Butler), a seemingly ordinary crime victim, and Nick Rice (Foxx), a Philadelphia prosecutor, down a rabbit hole of violence and revenge, where nothing is as it seems and the law is always one step behind.

Featuring a supporting cast that includes Bruce McGill ("Obsessed"), Colm Meaney ("The Commitments"), Leslie Bibb ("Iron Man"), Michael Irby ("The Unit"), Regina Hall ("Scary Movie"), and Oscar nominee Viola Davis ("Doubt"), the "Law Abiding Citizen" Blu-ray edition is a two-disc set featuring an unrated director´s cut of the film. SRP is $29.98 for the DVD and $39.98 for the two-disc Blu-ray edition.

The Chicago Sun-Times´ Rogert Ebert called "Law Abiding Citizen" "a taut thriller." Entertainment Weekly´s Owen Gleiberman said, "'Law Abiding Citizen' offers a taste of no-mercy vigilante family-man justice." Made In Hollywood´s Julie Harkness added, "'Law Abiding Citizen' is a nail-biting sensation."

"Law Abiding Citizen" follows Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler), an upstanding family man whose wife and daughter are brutally murdered during a home invasion. When the killers are caught, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx), a hotshot Philadelphia prosecutor, is assigned to the case. Nick offers one of the suspects a light sentence in exchange for testifying against his accomplice.

Fast forward 10 years, the man who got away with murder is found dead and Clyde Shelton coolly admits his guilt. Then he issues a warning to Nick: Either fix the flawed justice system that failed his family, or key players in the trial will die.

Soon Shelton follows through on his threats, orchestrating from his jail cell a string of spectacularly diabolical assassinations that can be neither predicted nor prevented. Philadelphia is gripped with fear as Shelton´s high-profile targets are slain one after another and the authorities are powerless to halt his reign of terror. Only Nick can stop the killing, and to do so he must outwit this brilliant sociopath in a harrowing contest of wills in which even the smallest misstep means death. With his own family now in Shelton´s cross-hairs, Nick finds himself in a desperate race against time facing a deadly adversary who seems always to be one step ahead.
