The full-length animated feature about everyone's favorite intergalactic space-age family is now available on DVD for the first time!

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has recently added Hanna-Barbera's full-length JETSONS: THE MOVIE to their DVD release schedule for April 28, 2009 (SRP $14.98). The 1990 animated family film will be presented in its original widescreen ratio of 1.85:1 – at this time no bonus features are specified.

Film Synopsis:
Meet the Jetsons all over again!

George is promoted and relocates family to asteroid, in the feature-film version of 1960s TV cartoon series from original creators Joseph Barbera and William Hanna, and featuring the unforgettable voice talents of the original George and Jane JetsonGeorge O'Hanlon and Penny Singleton!

Set off for some intergalactic fun with America's favorite family of the future in their full-length animated movie! Meet George Jetson; Jane, his wife; daughter Judy; son Elroy; Rosie the Robot and Astro the family dog as they move to an asteroid full of space-age wonders. But when they discover that George's new company is disturbing the home of friendly underground creatures named Grungies, they'll have to work together to spread peace on their new space place. Directed by the original creators of The Jetsons, Joseph Barbera and William Hanna, and featuring the voice talents of the original George and Jane Jetson, George O´Hanlon and Penny Singleton, as well as legendary voice artist Mel Blanc (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck), and music from pop singer Tiffany, it's destined to be a universal hit with the whole family!

In this big screen presentation of the space-age television family, George badgers his grumpy boss Mr. Spacely for a much deserved promotion. He succeeds, but when he gets his dream job he discovers an unsavory side to the business: by indiscriminately mining an asteroid, Spacely Sprockets is destroying the natural habitat of a race of cute little creatures called Grungies. Will George keep his mouth shut or follow his conscience? If his family has anything to say about it, he'll do the right thing.

Based on "The Jetsons", an animated television series that first aired in 1962. It has had a long life in television re-runs. Dedicated to the memories of Mel Blanc and George O'Hanlon, who died shortly after completing work on the film.

From the news article...

"...at this time no bonus features are specified."

So, unless things change (studio announcement), there will not be any extras. As you know, not every DVD or Blu-ray is first released with extras. Often, you don't get the "goodies" until the 2nd "Special Edition", "Ultimate Edition", etc is released.

That's because all the greedy Republicans figured out another way to screw everybody! Double dipping is totally a Republican's idea! F-ing bastards!

Greed = When billions of dollars for the 1% of America are not enough! .!..
