On July 7, Universal Studios will release the first season of the comedy Kath & Kim on DVD, in a 2-disc set that contains all 17 episodes. Suggested retail price is $29.98.

Kath & Kim is an American version of the Australian television comedy series of the same name. The series premiered on NBC on October 9, 2008, and stars Molly Shannon (Saturday Night Live, Evan Almighty), Selma Blair (Hellboy franchise, Legally Blonde), John Michael Higgins (The Break-Up, Evan Almighty), and Mikey Day (Reno 911).

Based on the hit Australian comedy, NBC's KATH & KIM stars Molly Shannon and Selma Blair as a hilariously dysfunctional mother-daughter pair. When the self-absorbed Kim separates from her brand-new husband, she moves back in with Kath, who just happens to have a brand-new boyfriend. The series chronicles the duo's daily lives together, following each woman closely as they navigate the ups and downs of middle-class suburban life. This collection includes every episode from the show's first (and only) season, featuring guest appearances by Pamela Anderson and Maya Rudolph.

Series Synopsis:
In suburbia. Out of touch.
Like mother, like daughter!
Kath (Molly Shannon) is embarking on a relationship with sandwich stand owner Phil Knight (John Michael Higgins). Meanwhile, Kim (Selma Blair) wants to be a trophy wife but unfortunately, her new husband Craig (Mikey Day) works at Circuit Surplus and "can't take her to Applebee's every night since they're not billionaires."

Kathy wants Craig to take Kim home so she can develop her romance with Phil, Craig wants Kim to go home because he loves her, and Kim just wants to act bratty in her mother's home and hate on Phil.

Molly Shannon (Saturday Night Live) and Selma Blair (Legally Blonde) bring their comedy talents to the sassy and fashionably funny series KATH & KIM. Kath (Shannon), a foxy 40-something, and Kim (Blair), a self-absorbed suburban princess, are forced to reevaluate their hilariously askew mother-daughter relationship when Kim moves home after just a few weeks of marriage.
