Rumors that Microsoft will include Blu-ray in their XBOX 360 experience surfaced once again this week.
However, Aaron Greenberg, group product manager for Xbox 360, strongly denies the rumors again in a recent podcast with famous official XBOX blogger Major Nelson. He goes as far at as saying "there is not a lot there" in terms of Blu-ray sales and retail. He concludes "it will not be the next DVD format."

Well... I guess we'll see. I honestly don't see Blu-Ray coming to an Xbox until the next iteration of the system. And even then who knows if it will still have it. Hell it may have some crazy... 1 TB Disc I don't know! I do not know. All I know is that I don't see a Blu-Ray Drive or Blu-Ray Xbox 360 coming... ever.
Also... where did these rumors come from? How did this resurface? I keep my fingers pretty close to the pulse of the Video Game news and stuff and I haven't seen nor heard of this rumor. Not since... Frack... what? April? MAYBE June. And even then that's stretching it.
Then again it could also be the fact that TGS is going on right now and everyone has their sights set on that. They'd rather get all of the REAL news instead of posting about the same damn rumor we've been hearing since HD-DVD died off.

Sometimes these rumours are started by the companies themselves that want to make this happen which in this case would be Sony and the BDA. The logic is that if you start the rumour and enough people talk about it, you put pressure on the company (Microsoft) to actually do it.
OR, Microsoft may actually be thinking about it. Who knows but it seems they are doing fine without it as console sales are doing well.

Microsoft could release something tomorrow that they deny today. It's just the way they are.
I was fortunate enough to get the red rings of death Wednesday, lol. I still wouldn't give up my 360 for a PS3 though because I'm a hard core gamer. The thing that is weird is that I turned my xbox on Thursday and watched a movie on it without the rings turning to red. I bet the first game i put in like Force Unleashed will kill it again. I cannot wait for the Netflix addition after I get it repaired.

What I find so funny is when people say that they are hardcore gamers and dismiss the PS3 as a hardcore gaming system, when both share about 95% of the titles available. "Star Wars: The Force Uleashed" for example, is the exact same game for both systems.
The fact is there is only one game that I honestly say that wouldn't work on an XBOX 360 and that was "Meteal Gear Solid 4". We have not seen the benefits of BD games in the PS3, YET.
You should leave the Netflix downloading to the computer rather than running your 360 for something other than playing games.

Tony, the XBOX games are totally hardcore man! They are so hardcore that they break the system down every 3 months! PS3 can't hold a candle to that!!!

All around most people agree that Xbox 360 is better.
Reasons for this are:
Better price
Xbox Live
exclusives like Halo,Gears of War,Mass Effect and Fable 2
Multiplatform games often look and play better on Xbox 360
Final Fantasy 13 and Tekken 6 will now be on Xbox 360. Those were two major sony exclusives.

To be honest I'm not a PS3 Fanboy, Xbox 360 Fanboy, or a Wii Fanboy. I'm a Console Fanboy. I currently own all three current gen Consoles, I owned all three last gen consoles, and I'll probably own all three ( four?! ) Next gen consoles too.
