Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced new prices and models in London today.
It will introduce a less-featured 40GB model at €399. The model will NOT feature compatibility with old Playstation 2 games, have no card readers, and have fewer USB ports.
The 60GB model will get a price cut (as it did in the US) to €499.
The new prices and models will be effective from October 10th.
Whether Sony introduces the 40GB model in the U.S. is still uncertain, but we will keep you posted.
