The last major studio to go Blu-ray indicates to The Hollywood Reporter that it will start releasing on the format.

Paramount Home Entertainment quietly came onboard via a statement sent exclusively to The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday: "We are pleased that the industry is moving to a single high-definition format, as we believe it is in the best interest of the consumer," the statement reads. "As we look to (begin) releasing our titles on Blu-ray, we will monitor consumer adoption and determine our release plans accordingly."

No further details were given so we will patiently wait for a full press release.

Hmm... I'm undecided on what to do now. I've got Beowulf and Into the Wild on preorder from Amazon. Now I'm thinking it might be better to rent, then buy later when these eventually come out on Blu.

Ok, just like I asked after Universal said they would release movies on Blu Ray. Are they dropping the HD DVD movies?

I'm looking forward to Pink Floyd's "The Wall" on Blu-ray with lossless 5.1 PCM.
