Disney will release "Pixar Short Films Collection, Volume 1" on DVD and Blu-ray this November 6th.

It slipped under our radar when it was originally announced so that is the reason of this late announcement.

However, that doesn't make this set less interesting. It will feature the following of Pixar's amazing short films:

I'll let you know what you are missing. I'll trade you Pixar on HD-DVD for Star Trek on Blu-ray. Unfortunately we both lose casualties in this war.

Is there any more info on these animated shorts? The names don't really ring a bell, but I'd probably recognize a few of them once I see them.

I wouldn't mind picking up the standard DVD since it would just upconvert. It won't be ideal, but it'll do in a pinch.

These are the Pixar shorts that accompanied the Pixar feature films in theaters and which now accompany the Pixar films on disc. If you have all of Pixa's fllms on disc, I believe you have all the shorts. Nice to have them in one place on one disc, though.
