Genius Products will release "The Mist" on DVD this March 25th. Written/directed by Frank Darabont (The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption) and starring Thomas Jane and Marcia Gay Harden. Single and double disc editions will be available.

Both editions will include: an "Audio commentary by writer/director Frank Darabont," "Eight deleted scenes with optional commentary," and "A Conversation With Stephen King and Frank Darabont" featurette.

Extras exclusive to the 2-Disc Collector's Edition will include: an "Exclusive black-and-white presentation of the film (the colour version is included)," and 5 "Making of" featurettes.

Synopsis:
Following a violent thunderstorm, artist David Drayton and a small town community come under vicious attack from creatures prowling in a thick and unnatural mist. Local rumors point to an experiment called the 'The Arrowhead Project' conducted at a nearby top-secret military base, but questions as to the origins of the deadly vapor are secondary to the group's overall chances for survival. Retreating to a local supermarket, Drayton and the survivors must face-off against each other before taking a united stand against an enemy they cannot even see.

Is Genius Products/The Weinstein Company still supporting HD DVD? Or did they jump ship? I so want this movie on HI DEF! HD DVD or Blu Ray, I hope this will be on one of the two formats in the future.
