Welcome back to another look at the week's newest releases and there's some good stuff coming out. You'll have to excuse the brevity of this week's column as I'm feeling under the weather at the moment.

When Brad Pitt says he wants some Nazi scalps, you better believe he's gonna get his Nazi scalps. Quentin Tarantino's long-awaited take on the 'bunch of guys go on a mission' war movie, "Inglourious Basterds," will arrive in stores on Tuesday in single-disc and 2-disc DVD editions as well as on Blu-Ray. You can read Dean Winkelspecht's review of the Blu-Ray here.

The surprise smash-hit of the year, "The Hangover," will also be available on DVD and Blu-Ray this week. "The Hangover" is the highest grossing R-rated comedy of all time. The trailer, featuring a hilarious cameo by Mike Tyson, was undoubtedly a huge part in creating buzz around the picture. You can read John Puccio's review for the 2-disc DVD here.

Another R-rated comedy being released this week is "The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard." The DVD was previously available as a rental only. The film stars Jeremy Piven as the leader of a team of freelance car salesmen. "The Goods" also features Ving Rhames, Ed Helms, Ken Jeong, James Brolin, and Alan Thicke.

Jerry Bruckheimer gives us his idea of a kids' movie in "G-Force," a goofy action movie about a team of elite guinea pigs. The little critters are voiced by an array of A-list actors including Sam Rockwell, Penelope Cruz, Nic Cage, and Jon Favreau. As a guinea pig owner, I would urge any parents thinking of getting one for their kid to research the special kind of care needed for them. In the meantime, you can read James Plath's review of the Blu-Ray.

You might also be interested in "Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie," a feature-length spin-off of the popular Disney Channel sitcom. The DVD has also been reviewed by Mr. Plath.

Ang Lee's "Taking Woodstock" comes to us on DVD and Blu-Ray, courtesy of Focus Features. This accounting of the historical concert was largely forgotten in theaters, but maybe it will find an audience on home video.

From Image Entertainment, comes "The Other Man." Despite starring Liam Neeson, Antonio Banderas, and Laura Linney, the film received an extremely limited theatrical. You can read David Van Der Haeghen's review of the DVD here.

Also up for grabs is "The Mel Brooks Collection," a new 9-disc Blu-Ray set featuring many of Brooks' films in high definition. The boxset contains "Blazing Saddles," "Spaceballs," "Young Frankenstein," "High Anxiety," "History of the World, Part 1," "Robin Hood: Men in Tights," "Silent Movie," "To Be or Not To Be," and "Twelve Chairs."

Finally, Trekkers everywhere can pick up the newest Blu-Ray set of the original "Star Trek" as the third and final season will be released this week. Also available, is a three-pack featuring each season, remastered with new special effects. You can read Dean's review of "Star Trek: Season 3" here.
