Toshiba has made it clear that customer support of HD DVD players will continue after production stops next month.

took me 3 weeks to get mine, which i thought was rather fast compared to how long some people have been waiting.

I sent it off in November, just got them a few weeks ago!
So they will come, just taking a while.

Speaking of five free movies, I got mine yesterday - THE SAME DAY AS THE TOSHIBA SURRENDER! Talk about irony.

One of them was not a title I was asking for, but in the least, at least they gave me an okay substitute - Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket. It may be the older edition, but I don't really care, it's one of my three #1 war movies, and it's gotta look damn good in HD in the least.

What will there position be in 2 weeks... there support/decisions change like the weather these days.

I supported their format fully... but recently I don't believe anything they promise

You know after reading the technical specs of the hardware in the Toshiba machine... Wow I was shocked at the level of quality that was spent, even on the A3...
