NICE to see this finally on DVD - A Doris Day classic -
The print is quite good and the audio is excellent - -
Presented in black and white, it still gives you that 'good old-time movie' feeling;
a comfy comedy regarding journalism & newspapers that was meant to be shown monochromic.
Filmed in VistaVision and here in DVD WS (no bars), it's 2 hours of superb acting that truly
GRIPS you until the very end, esp during the scenes with just Gable and Gig Young, who was
nominated for best supporting actor as "Hugo Pine" at the '58 Oscars, losing out to Burl Ives.
The title song was a Billboard Top-60 hit for Doris that year;
This was also one of Gable's last four films until his death in 1960.
