5th Season
APPROX. 289 MINS. - PROD. YEAR: 2000 - MPA RATING: NR
" This season, the Heffernans seem a bit less endearing than in others, with more of an emphasis on their negative qualities. But there are still laughs in every episode.

Video: "King of Queens" has been consistently sharper and with more vibrant and balanced colors than most of the TV shows today, which is why its gotten high numbers in the past. Comparatively speaking, it's still an 8. But if you compare it to the wider range of video products out there, a 7 is probably fairer.
Audio: Same thing with the audio. It's crisp, it's robust, there's a nice balance of bass and treble, and the distribution of sounds across the speakers is natural. Comparatively speaking, an 8 again. In the bigger picture? Probably still an 8, especially for a show that's so dialogue-dependent.
Extras: There are no extras.
Bottom Line: Carrie and Doug know how to push each others buttons, and the producers of this series know how to make their lives relate to average working families, where the battle of the sexes is tied to annoying habits, household turf, and money. This season, the Heffernans seem a bit less endearing than in others, with more of an emphasis on their negative qualities. But there are still laughs in every episode, and these days that's saying something for a sitcom.
