Video: The picture is as sharp and the colors as bright as you'd expect with a recent show, with the aspect ratio at 1.33:1. Mastered in High Definition, it's better than most would have seen on television the first time around. No complaints here.

Audio: The English soundtrack appears to be Dolby 2.0 Surround, with English subtitles for the hearing impaired. At times it feels as if the rear speakers have their own feed, while at other times the information seems matrixed into the rears. After jumping up to put my ear to the speakers I finally gave up trying to figure out the apparent discrepancy and pronounced it 2.0. There are no press materials to confirm that uneducated guess. But the tonal quality is bright, with just the right balance of bass and treble.

Extras: Sorry, the only extra is a booklet that lists all the episodes. As with previous seasons, if you want to read the episode credits for this three-disc set, you're going to have to break out the magnifying glass. All 24 episodes are listed with credit info on the equivalent of three-fourths of an 8 1/2 x 10 sheet, in what looks to be just 7- to 4-point type. But at least there are descriptions to jog your memory. A lot of TV-on-DVDs these days don't provide more than episode titles.

Bottom Line: As with previous seasons, this installment of "The King of Queens" has some laugh-out-loud moments and real-life situations. It also showcases one of TV's most believable and fun-to-watch couples, Kevin James and Leah Remini. This blue-collar comedy shuns the ups-and-downs formula of "warm fuzzy" moments and goofy comedy in favor of real day-to-day situational laughs and brief moments of character introspection—things that most viewers will be able to identify with, regardless of their occupations or marital situation.
